The Leprechauns

Many years ago on the magical Isle of Eire leprechauns. Leprechauns are about three feet tall and are often found behind bushes and trees smoking a pipe or making shoes!! They roamed the land freely and played in the warm sunlight, dancing and singing their songs. There were parties every night held under the stars. The land was full of magic and mystery.

The leprechauns lived for many years alone on Eire. However, one day the leprechauns noticed a ship approaching. When the ship got nearer the Leprechauns saw that there were humans on it. When the humans settled on Eire, they called it Ireland. They began to construct buildings and towns. The fairy folk and leprechauns were saddened and scared of the large towns, so they moved underground to a magical land called the Sidhe.

The Sidhe offers a haven for the fairies and leprechauns. The sneak out at night to dance under the stars and hold great parties. Leprechauns are known for bestowing luck and any human that sees one should treat them well. For Leprechauns are known for playing tricks on humans. If you are nice to him, he might tell you where his pot of gold is!!!! Rainbows reveal where pots of gold are hidden, so leprechauns sometimes spend all day moving their crocks from one spot to another to keep them well hidden from the humans.
